Welcome to Kailis Wines, a captivating vineyard that started as a labour of love back in 1998 when Cary and Tanja purchased it as a small hobby farm. Over the next two years, Cary and Tanja, along with family and friends planted 30,000 vines across the property. Through the years, the beautiful estate has evolved as a meeting place of their friends and family to enjoy a glass of wine or two whilst in the down south winery region. The beautiful location is one that can’t be kept to themselves, so in recent years, it has been opened for a handful of events and weddings.

In the heart of the Margaret River wine region, Kailis Wines is fortunate enough to have several cultivated vines, perfect for their select few wines on offer. The journey began with a dream to create not just a vineyard, but a place where the beauty of nature intertwines with the love of winemaking. As the years passed, Cary and Tanja saw the potential of sharing their picturesque estate and hand-crafted wines with others.

What sets our vineyard apart is not only the commitment to crafting exquisite wines but also the desire to create lasting memories. In recent years, we have opened our doors to the public, welcoming visitors to experience the magic of our vineyard for weddings and events. The lush landscapes and rolling vineyards provide an unparalleled setting for those seeking a romantic and charming venue for their special day.

Margaret River, with it’s rich soil and cooler weather plays a crucial role in our wine making journey. The region’s rich soils, influenced by the maritime climate, contribute to the growing of grapes that are the foundation of our full-bodied red wines. We believe in letting the terroir speak through our wines, and Margaret River, with its perfect combination of soil, climate, and geography, allows us to produce wines that are a true reflection of the region’s character.
